Cassie melayangkan gugatan dengan tuduhan kalau Diddy memperkosa dan melecehkannya selama hubungan mereka terjalin.
Dilansir dari Kompas.com, dalam gugatannya, Cassie mengklaim bahwa Combs mampu mengendalikannya setelah memperkenalkannya pada "gaya hidup yang dipenuhi narkoba yang membuatnya merasa puas diri dan patuh."
Pelantun Me& U mengklaim dalam gugatannya bahwa Diddy, yang saat itu berusia akhir 30-an, mendekatinya sebagai penyanyi yang sedang naik daun yang menandatangani kontrak dengan label musiknya, Bad Boy Records.
Gugatan tersebut menyatakan bahwa Diddy kerap meluapkan kemarahan yang tak terkendali dan memukul serta menendang Cassie, terkadang di depan staf dan karyawan Bad Boy Entertainment.
Diddy dan Cassie berpisah untuk selamanya pada tahun 2018 setelah percintaan yang mengalami pasang surut selama satu dekade.
Cassie baru berusia 19 tahun ketika ia bertemu dengan maestro musik itu.
Pasca putus hubungan dengan P Diddy, Cassie Ventura kemudian menikah dengan pelatih pribadi, Alex Fine di tahun 2019.
Pada Juni 2019, Cassie mengumumkan menanti anak pertama mereka.
Dan saat itu Diddy menulis ucapan selamat untuk mantan kekasihnya itu.
Anak perempuan Cassie lahir pada Desember 2019 dan diberi nama Sunny.
